Armando Avendano Torres, 63, passed away on February 5, 2026 in Mexia, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Armando was born in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Benito Torres-Lopez and Martha Avendano Torres. He worked in the oil field for many years.
Armando and Maria were married for 45 years; they were blessed with four children and five grandchildren. There was nothing more important to him than his family. He loved his wife and children, but his grandchildren truly owned his heart. Spending time and doing things with his grandchildren was the highlight of his life. He also loved music. One of his favorite pastimes was to get in his truck and just ride around listening to music.
Armando had an outgoing personality and was always willing to help anyone in need of help. He was a Christian who believed in treating everyone the way he wanted to be treated. Armando was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Martha Torres.
