Barnie Savage

Funeral services for Mr. Barnie Bob Savage, 79, of Mexia will be 2 PM Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, in the Blair-Stubbs funeral home chapel in Mexia. Dwain Rosson and Dee Teel will officiate and the interment will follow in the Driver cemetery in Freestone County. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday evening, December 3, 2007 at the funeral home. Mr. Savage was born Jan. 2, 1928 in Wellington, Tx to Othel and Gertrude Savage. Mr. Savage had worked as a Longshoreman for about 30 years. He served his country in the United States Military during the Korean War. He was a member of the Teague Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Mary B. Savage of Mexia, Daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and John Crundwell of Teague, Son and daughter-in-law, Barnie Edward and Sheila Savage of Galveston, 2 Grandchildren, Travis and Caitlin Savage of Galveston. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Wanda Savage of Ada, OK, Avis Savage of Stratford, OK, Linda Rosson and husband Dwain of Stratford, OK, O.A. Savage and wife Darla of Stratford, OK and Jerry Savage and wife Marlene of Bentonville, AR.
