Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Sikes Shaw, 95, of Mexia will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006 in Blair - Stubbs Chapel. Rev. James Hooper, pastor of First Baptist Church in Hubbard and Rev. Rick Gray, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate with interment to follow in Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the Family will be 2 - 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Mrs. Shaw was born on September 10, 1910 in Kickapoo, Limestone County to Walter A. and Nancy Goolsby Sikes and passed away on May 13, 2006 in Mexia. She was retired saleslady for J. C. Penny Company and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Mexia. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, G. W. (Dick) Shaw on December 1, 1971, her daughter, Glenda Shaw Brothers on November 3, 1980, And three sisters, Mrs. Lois Posey, Mrs. Beulah Laine and Mrs. Mary York. She is survived by her son-in-law: Charles H. Brothers of Kosse, Texas; Grand- Children and spouses: Sandra and Bill Gassett of Seagoville, Vickie and Mike Rawles of Gabon, Africa, Robbi and Gene Pfiffer of Seagoville and Charles G. (Chuck) and Tammy Brothers of Kosse; 12 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Benny Posey, Dr. Delma Posey, Don Posey, O. J. Lee, Billy McKenzie, Jimmy York, Charles Lowe, Don Stevens and Mike Laine.
