Benjamin Clyde Hancock entered into heaven on October 30, 2025. Ben was a jack of all trades(master of none), story teller, life of the party and reggae cowboy (Hawaiian shirt, cowboy hat, shorts).
Ben was born in Mexia, Texas on October15, 1959 to Connie Mack Hancock and Greta Altha (McClinton) Hancock. He graduated from Coolidge High school in 1978 as Salutatorian. He attended Texas A&M for a time and then graduated from Sam Houston State University. He was a Landman for Harvard Land Company. He married his wife Melinda "Slim" on October 15, 2009. His only daughter his pride and joy was born in 1990. Ben is proceeded in death by his mother Altha, grandparents, as well as many aunt, uncles and cousins.
Ben is survived by his favorite dance partner Melinda, daughter Kathryn Hicks and husband Ollie, bonus kids Joey George-Hancock and Angelica Gallardo, granddaughter Katlie Hicks, grandson Rhyett Hicks, father Connie Mack Hancock, brother Jimmy Hancock and wife Marie, nephew Justin Hancock and niece Laurynn Pullin. Along with many other extended family members.
Visitation will be at Blair-Stubbs Chapel on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 2:00 pm followed by a graveside service at 3:30 pm at The Hancock Cemetery (one mile west of Mexia on Hwy 84). A Celebration of Life will be at The Harbor restaurant at 5pm located at 10,000 Spur 294 Corsicana, TX 75109.
