She grew up in Wortham and after graduating from Wortham High School, Class of 1966, she received a license in Cosmetology. She worked only a short time as a beautician before she married the love of her life, Danny Bosley on May 29, 1967. Betty, then started her most important role in life, a devoted wife and later the proud mother of two children, Jim and Danna. After her children started school, she went to work for Mexia ISD, retiring with 40 years of service as an Administrative Assistant in 2016. Betty was very outgoing, she met everyone with a friendly hello and a beautiful smile. She was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord, her family and many friends. Her family was the light of her life, although she loved her husband and children, her grandchildren owned the major part of her heart. Whatever her children or grandchildren were participating in, Betty and Danny were going to be there for support. She also had a faithful companion in Belle, her precious dog, who, along with the rest of her family, was always by her side throughout her illness. Betty's job with the school system was a good career choice as all children had a special place in her heart. Some of Betty's favorite hobbies consisted of playing cards and she really enjoyed shopping with family and friends. She was also a very good cook and enjoyed cooking for church socials. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Wortham. According to her family, Betty wanted to be remembered for loving God, her family and the NBA - and in that order! She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Lottie Driver; a brother, Billy Dan Driver; and sister-in-law, Sue Driver. Betty is survived by her loving husband of almost 51 years, Danny Bosley of Wortham; son, Jim Bosley and wife, Melissa of Crawford; daughter, Danna Phillips of Wortham; grandchildren, Chase Bosley, Callan Bosley and Skylar Phillips; brothers. Bobby Eugene Driver and wife, Kathy of Mineola and Jerry Lynn Driver and wife, Marci of Denton; sister, Shirley Beard and husband, Dwan of Joshua; and a number of nieces and nephews. Betty's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Nursing Staff at Providence Health Care for the overwhelming love and compassion shown them while also taking such good care of Betty. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Wortham, P. O. Box 426, Wortham, TX. 76693.
