Betty was born June 2, 1947 in Mexia to Billie & Helen (Spillers) Seale. She graduated from Mexia High School, Class of 1965 . She often talked about how great her high school class was. She always enjoyed the meet ups and class reunions over the years. Upon completion of graduation, she attended Westminster college in Tehuacana where she learned to be a medical assistant.
Betty married Tommy Craig and they were blessed with two sons. After her medical training, she worked for Dr. Buchmeyer in Wortham for many years. After leaving Dr. Buchmeyer’s office, she went on to work at LCDC in Groesbeck. She became a sergeant & worked there until her retirement. Betty was a hard worker and worked her entire life. She had a couple different jobs following retirement from the prison in Groesbeck. Her last job was at Limestone Medical Center for 6 years. She thought of her coworkers as family, and she loved every minute of working at LMC. Any free moment she had, she was talking about her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She also loved working puzzles, reading daily devotionals, and spending time with her cats that were like her children.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Billie and Helen Seale. Betty is survived by her sons, Kelly Craig, wife Rhonda and Todd Craig, wife Kayla. She had six grandchildren, Cord Samuels, wife Kayla, Whitney Tucker, husband MD, Kateley Smith, husband Leonard, Lilah Craig, Caroline Craig & Sophie Craig; six great grandchildren, Ava, Trip, Adley, Tinley Kate, Rory & Kannon. She is also survived by her brother, Billie Reese Seale & nephew, Justin Seale. Definitely not last, she’s survived by a special cousin & friend, Peggy Blanchard. Peggy was so helpful to Betty in her last years, taking her to doctor’s appointments, as well as many other ways.
