Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Joe Reed, 80 of Ft. Worth will be 4 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007 in Blair - Stubbs Chapel in Mexia with interment to follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Rev. Corey Jones of Ft. Worth will officiate. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home. Mrs. Reed was born January 1, 1927 in Limestone County to John C. and Ellen Fulcher Brown Everett and passed away on August 2, in Ft. Worth. She was a Nurse and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Reed of Houston and Michael Reed of Ft. Worth, Daughters, Judy Brooks of Ft. Worth and Sally of Washington, DC; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; sister, Doris Story Pope of Mexia and four brothers: Charlie Brown of Oklahoma, Charles Everett of Houston, John Everett of Carrolton and Jerry Everett of Forney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Reed.
