Bobbie Ann Pendleton

Bobbie Ann Pendleton was born in Mexia, Texas on July 24, 1941 to Hugh Halsell Pendleton and Bobbie Corrine Scott. She passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026 in Temple, Texas.

Ann was much loved by many. Known always and fondly as “Miss P” by several decades of Mexia students and parents, she enjoyed a host of close friends throughout her life, bringing smiles and laughter to all fortunate enough to spend time with her.

Ann loved the Lord and she loved her First United Methodist Church. A tireless worker, always seen so actively involved in numerous church and civic responsibilities. Her life was indeed a testimony to her faith and expressed in a verse she held dear from Isaiah 12:2; “Surely God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation.”

In a life committed to education, she earned undergraduate and post graduate degrees from Texas Woman’s University and from Baylor University. Her professional posts included the Corpus Christi Texas ISD, the Richardson Texas ISD and the Mexia ISD.

Whether birding or gardening or traveling with friends or founding pet adoptions, Ann delighted in those small group experiences. And the doors on S. Ross were always open.

Ann leaves cousins John MacDonsld and wife Deborah of Akron, Ohio, Fred Pendleton and wife Patricia of Dallas, Texas, their son Andrew Pendleton and wife Erin of Grimes County, Texas and their son Paul Kay of Galena, Illinois.
