Brenda Kay McDaniel

Brenda Kay McDaniel, of Lost Prairie, passed away March 23, 2026 in Waco surrounded by her loving family at the age of 67. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2026 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.

Brenda was born July 3, 1958 in Mexia, Texas to Robert Lyndon and Donna Marie (Vest) Allen. She was a lifelong resident of Limestone County and a graduate of Groesbeck High School, Class of l976. Brenda married William Charles McDaniel on December 31, 1976, they enjoy over 49 wonderful years together.

Brenda dedicated her life to serving the Lord and loving and caring for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her life revolved around her family. Brenda’s most important and only job of being a stay-at-home mother was truly a blessing to her family. Although she was very laid back and easy-going, they could always count on her to take care of anything they needed.

Brenda enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting blankets for her children, grandchildren and others, working on genealogy, listening to music, watching westerns, and oh how she loved to tell stories about the happenings in Lost Prairie of years gone by. She was a member, and loved attending her church, the Living Proof Church in Groesbeck.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lyndon and Donna Marie (Vest) Allen; and sister, Rhonda Yawn.

She is survived by her husband, Charles McDaniel; children, Charlie McDaniel, Rachel Newman and husband, Tim; and Melody McDaniel; grandchildren, Zyon, Evan, Orin, Ella, Emma Liam, Luke, Autumn, Barron, Rachel, and Dani; great granddaughter, Aurora; and brother-in-law, Carlton “Buzz” Yawn.
