Connie Mack Hancock left his earthly home on June 15, 2026.
He was born December 1, 1932 to Benjamin Peyton (BP) Hancock and Myrtie Mae Roberts Hancock in Datura, Texas. They moved just up the road to Coolidge when he was young. He played football at Coolidge High School and graduated in 1950. After graduation he served in the Army where he was stationed at Fort Hood.
He married his beloved wife Greta Altha McClinton on November 22, 1958. They had two sons Benjamin (Ben) Clyde Hancock and James (Jimmy) Edgar Hancock.
Connie Mack was an electrician by trade working for a number of companies including owning Hancock Electric. After retiring he kept busy by delivering flowers for his good friend Jack Zerkel and mowing the ditches for Limestone County.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years and his oldest son Ben.
Connie Mack is survived by son Jimmy and wife Marie of China Spring, daughter-in-law, Melinda George Hancock; granddaughter Kathryn (Kate) Hicks and husband Ollie of Groesbeck, grandson Justin Hancock and girlfriend Kacey of China Spring, granddaughter Laurynn Pullin and husband Devin of Valley Mills. Great granddaughter Katlie Hicks, and great grandsons Rhyett Hicks and Brantley Pullin. And many extended family members
He was a life long member of the First Methodist Church in Coolidge, TX where he served in many positions.
Visitation will be June 18, 2026 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Blair Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia, TX.
Service will be June 19, 2026 at First Methodist Church of Coolidge at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2026. Interment to follow at Coolidge Cemetery. Bret Lowry, Bart Lowry, Dale Lowry, Norris McClinton, Jay McClinton, John McClinton will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Hancock, Justin Hancock, and Ollie Hicks.
