Graveside services for Mrs. Diane Forrest, 82 of Mexia will be 10 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 7, 2005 in Mexia Cemetery with Father Jerry Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia cemetery. Mrs. Forrest was born January 16, 1923 in Hanover, N. H. and passed away on Sept. 5 2005 in Mexia. She had a great love for animals and took care of many strays. She loved to play golf and bridge and loved to travel She was a homemaker. She is survived by a daughter and son in law: Marty and Steve Coffey of Mexia; 6 grandchildren: Genny Lawson, Jason Coffey, Joanna Maki, Jessica Staggs, Nathan Forrest and Sarah Forrest; 6 great grandchildren and a sister, Ann Sherty of Philadelphia, PA She was a longtime active member of Christ Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Maurice and Genoese Longhurst, her husband, Blake Forrest and a son, Rick Forrest..
