Donna Ruth Boswell Eubanks was born November 16, 1959 to Kenneth and Patricia Boswell in Lubbock, TX. She entered her heavenly home on September 23, 2025. The Boswell family moved to Meridian where Donna finished high school in 1978. She attended Tarleton State University where she completed her bachelor’s degree in education in 1981. She enjoyed a 30-year career as a teacher before retiring from Mexia ISD.
On February 13, 2003 a friend arranged a blind date for Donna. She pulled into the parking lot in her Mustang just as Billy Glenn Eubanks pulled in as well. They married on May 23, 2003. Billy was truly the love of her life. They had many things in common but their deep faith and love for music was the strongest bond.
Donna’s relationship with the Lord began in her childhood. Upon moving to Mexia she joined the First Baptist Church and later became a member of Cedar Creek Baptist. In 2016 she and Billy joined Temple Baptist Church where Donna served as the church clerk and assistant pianist. She was also active in the Women’s Missionary Association.
Donna will be remembered for many things but the family will always remember her for her love of desserts. Her daily routine included ice cream and coke.
Donna is survived by husband Billy Eubanks; father Kenneth Boswell; sister Teena Head and husband Charles; brother-in-law Steve Eubanks and wife Fay, brother-in-law Robert Eubanks and wife Melanie; aunt Beth Beene; nephews Robert Eubanks Jr. and wife Ronda and their son Hayden, Canon Paulson, Billy Head, Braxton Head; nieces Morgan Nicholas and husband Grant, Charlsie Head, and Carsyn Head.
She was preceded in death by mother Patricia Boswell; mother-in-law Mary Eubanks; uncle Billie Beene; and grandmother Tommie Jones whom she shared a very special relationship with during her life.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Union Cemetery Chapel at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2025 with Reverends Michael Vestal and Marcus Sheffield officiating. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Eubanks, Robert Eubanks, Robert Eubanks Jr., Grant Nicholas, Hayden Engelke, and Charles Head.
