Some of her favorite time was spent fellowshipping with her friends at the Mexia Senior Citizens Center. Her love and obsession of mowing her yard caused enough concern for her children to hide the lawn mower keys, in recent years. Doris life was filled with her love for the Lord and family. She loved family gatherings, especially during the holiday seasons. She was a charter member of Forest Glade Baptist Church as well as a very active member; she taught Sunday school for numerous years and was a member of the choir.
