Edna Bruner

Edna Lee Bruner, 79, passed away December 25, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Point Enterprise Cemetery with Pastor Rusty McMahon officiating. Edna was born January 5, 1935 to Sam and Rosa Lee Williams Myatt. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after over 30 years of service in the accounts receivable department. She was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America where she served in a number of offices, including President for many years. Edna was a collector of numerous things, including dolls, china and Christmas memorabilia. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She also enjoyed traveling to Coushatta, LA to play the slot machines. She was preceded in death by her parents. Edna is survived by her son, Derek Bruner of Houston; brother, James "Sonny" Myatt; and other relatives.
