Effie Meador

Mrs. Effie Delee Meador, 98, of Groesbeck passed away Sunday August 27, 2006 in a Groesbeck nursing home. Mrs. Meador was born Feb. 7, 1908 in Stephenville, TX to Charles Henry and Lizzie Willett Seale. Mrs. Meador was a member of the Baptist church in Thornton and was a homemaker. Mrs. Meador was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William "Kelly" Meador, her son, Rex Allen Meador and by a sister and a brother. Mrs. Meador is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 am Tuesday at the Blair-Stubbs chapel in Thornton with Rev. James A. Sorley officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornton cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday at the funeral home in Thornton.
