Emma Nance

Emma Nell Nance, 82, passed away October 23, 2014 in Groesbeck, Texas. Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Lake Chapel Cemetery in Fairfield, Texas. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Emma was born September 17, 1932 in Slaton, Texas to Rash Channing and Nellie Maude Means Burnett, one of 15 children. She will be greatly missed by her family, but remembered as the most awesome and loving mother and grandmother ever. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie Nance; daughter, Cathie Nance; six sisters; and eight brothers. Emma is survived by four children, Eddie Nance of Mexia, Tina Richardson and husband, Tony of Groesbeck, Kim Chaney and husband, John of Santa Fe, TX and Michael Nance and wife, B.J. of Mexia; 12 grandchildren, Jimmy Wayne Griffith, Justin Nance, Natasha Richardson, Amber Richardson, Lewis Richardson, Toni Cooper, David Sweat, Christopher Sweat, Jay Chaney, Justin Chaney, Marcus Berry and Kelly Lopez; a number of great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
