Florience Jones

Florience Jones, 90, of Mexia passed away March 29, 2014 in Mexia. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 31, 2014 in the Mexia Cemetery with Rev. Rick Gray officiating. Visitation with the family will be 11:00-12:30 p.m., Monday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Florience was born March 13, 1924 in New Hope, Texas to Hobert and Sarah McCoslin Hull. She devoted her life to caring, not only for her family, but others as well. Her love for God and her family were exemplified in the way she lived her life. Florience had a beautiful smile that reflected her sweet, quiet personality. She was an excellent seamstress and also, enjoyed crocheting. Florience was a long time active member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Jones; and son, Marvin Jones. Florience is survived by her daughter, Thelma Smith of Chandler, TX; son, Allen Jones of Dayton, TX; grandchildren, Kim Beene, Debbie Heuermann, Elizabeth Jones, Marie Jones, Sharon Pellam and Chris Jones; and five great-grandchildren.
