Foy Harley Johnson, 79, of Personville, passed away September 26, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Freestone Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Heuermann and Rev. John Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Lost Prairie Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Saturday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Foy was born August 15, 1934 in Thornton, Texas to Floyd Lee and Vida Estelle Maiden Johnson. He married Imogene Killingsworth on May 31, 1955 in Teague, Texas. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after working for 33 years as an Equipment Chief. Foy loved talking to people, especially, about the Lord. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and sharing stories of his years of growing up. He, also, enjoyed fishing, hog and deer hunting, gardening and raising cows and chickens. It was evident, to all who knew him, that Foy loved God, his family and country living. He was member of Freestone Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Ricky Foy Johnson. Foy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Imogene Johnson of Personville; children, Barbara Denise Johnson of Personville, Randy Lynn Johnson and wife, Jean of Personville and Lisa LaJean Gothard and husband, Paul of Cleveland, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer and Jona Heil, Heather Guthrie, Stacy and Gustavo Castro, Michael, Hannah and Jonathan Gothard, Sarah Mitchell, Rachael and Chris Brown, Rebekah and Chad Renfro, Hannah and Raul Ramos; great-grandchildren, Kelle, Jona and Hayden Heil, J R and Colton Guthrie, and Ariana, Bethany and Cassidy Castro; brothers, Charles Johnson and wife, Bonnie of Mexia, Floyd Johnson and wife, Patsy of Mexia, Cecil and Rita Johnson of Houston and Donald Johnson and wife, JoAnn of Personville; and sister, Geneva Scott of Mexia. Pallbearers will be Jona Heil, Gustavo Castro, Jonathan Gothard, J. T. Shearer, Michael Gothard, Mike Burke and Joel Burke. Honorary pallbearers will be Jona Heil, Jr, Hayden Heil, J. R. Guthrie and Colton Guthrie.
