Gloria Sims

Gloria Vinson Sims, formerly of Tehuacana, passed away October 4, 2018 in Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 78. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in the Coolidge Cemetery with Mr. Craig Tappe officiating.

Gloria was born January 15, 1940 in Tehuacana, Texas to Noil and Ruby Vinson. She worked as a receptionist/secretary for an insurance company in Dallas, Abilene Bookstore and 10 years in the school cafeteria in Henderson, Colorado. Due to her love for children, working in the school cafeteria was a job she thoroughly enjoyed.

Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved spending time with her family and looked forward to coming "home" (Tehuacana) for the holidays. She also enjoyed traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Danny and Gay Vinson.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Sam A. Sims; son, Jarod Sims, daughter, Millicent Sims; grandchildren, Gunther and Ama Dee Sims; great grandchildren, Malaki and Levi Sims; brother, Jerry Vinson; sister, Ann Vinson Kuehn; and a number of nieces and nephews.
