Happy Frederick Slauson,III passed away March 14, 2018 at his home in Corsicana, Texas at the age of 54. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Monday, March 19, 2018 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Steve Nance officiating. Interment will be in the Cobb Cemetery in Thornton, Texas. Pallbearers will be Wesley Slauson, John Williams, Dante Johnson, Chris Hatley, Austin Hatley and Mark Simon. Happy was born February 17, 1964 in Norman, Oklahoma to Fred and Jo Ann Banks Slauson. He was a General Contractor and worked in the construction business for the majority of his life. His hobby was making something beautiful and useful out of wood; he was an amazingly creative craftsman. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Slauson; and wife, Linda Slauson. Happy is survived by his loving children, Wesley Slauson and wife, Robyn of Lakewood, WA and Melissa Hignett and husband, Chase of Grand Prairie; one grandchild, Zane Ripley; Mother, JoAnn Banks Slauson of Thornton, Step-sons, Chad and Shane Hendley, three sisters, Charlise Boyer and husband, Richard, Bonnie Simon and husband, Mark and Becky Williams all of Corsicana; brother, Michael Slauson and wife, Melinda of Missouri City, TX; and nieces and nephews, Brandon and Brooke Horton and their son, James Horton, Chris and Brandi Hatley and their children Austin and Chrissy Hatley, Brittney Simon,John and Linsey Williams, Dante and Jamie Johnson and their children Maggie and Jake Johnson, Will Slauson, Alex Slauson and Emma Slauson.
