Irene Baker

Irene Marie Talley Baker, 87, passed away December 20, 2015 in Pearland, Texas. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2015 in the New Hope Cemetery in Freestone County, Texas. Irene was born in Tehuacana, Texas on August 18,1928 to Clifton and Eleanora Haddick Talley. It was very evident that she dearly loved children. She owned and operated a daycare for many years. "Mimi B's". She was the type of woman who would throw a stale tortilla against the wall to shatter it, just to entertain her grandchildren. Irene loved life, and had little regard for the body she left behind. "We would say to rest in peace Mimi, but for those of us who loved you...we know you're just getting started." She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merle Eugene "Gene" Baker. Irene is survived by her three children, Scott Baker and wife, Cheryl, Georganne Payne and husband, William and Jeanmarie Crater and husband, Clint; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
