Jan Keith Harrison

Jan Keith Harrison passed away in Mexia, Texas on July 25, 2025, at the age of 79 after a battle with cancer. He was born to Dora Gladys January Harrison and Hubert Lee Harrison on August 6, 1945 in Mexia.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, at 10:00am at the First United Methodist Church of Mexia.

Jan graduated from Mexia High School in 1963. While attending high school he worked for his father at the furniture store and attended Navarro College for 2 years. He then worked alongside his father in the salvage business from 1970 to 1979. In 1980-98 he contracted with Southwestern Bell Telephone burying phone lines. Afterwards, he began working for himself buying and selling antiques and Old West memorabilia until recently. Jan had a passion for rare and collectible items.

Jan is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bert Lynn Harrison Sr.

He is survived by his children Walt Harrison and Karen, Crystal Harrison Dunn and Michael. Granddaughters, Aubrie, Lucy Kate, Reese and bonus Grandson, Andrew “Tadpole” and his sister-in-law Glenna Hodges Harrison and her children.
