Jerry Wayne McMinn passed away January 19, 2024 in Mexia, Texas at the age of 76.  A visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 1-2 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.  The service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend David Snow officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery.

Jerry was born June 5, 1947 in Groesbeck, Texas to Remus Roscoe and Ruby Lucille (Higgins) McMinn.   He was an employee of Hobbs Bonded Fiber for many years.  Sitting idle was not for Jerry, he like to keep busy.  He enjoyed mowing lawns, gardening, and working on cars and trucks.

Jerry loved his family.   He was a devoted son, husband, father, and brother.  He was a rather quiet man who tended to his own business but was willing to help anyone with anything possible.   Jerry loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and enjoyed just riding around.  He also loved animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Remus and Ruby McMinn; son, Scotty McMinn; brother, Reginald Roscoe McMinn; and sister, Elsie Lucille Wimberly.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Faith McMinn; stepson, Javier Steele; brother, Lloyd Dwain McMinn and wife Connie Ruth of Fairfield; nieces, Shashanna, Amanda, and Candace; great niece, Zoie; and great-great nephews, Damen and Rowan.
