Johnny Dalton Northcutt, 70, passed away at his home in Prairie Hill, Texas on January 30, 2024. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 2, 2024 in the Prairie Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Eddy Hayworth officiating. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Prairie Hill Cemetery.
Johnny was born February 19, 1953 in Waco, Texas to Conrad Odell and Ola Mae (Jones) Northcutt. He lived in the Prairie Hill area all his life and graduated from Coolidge High School, Class of 1973. He was a candy maker for the Centex Candy Shop for many years and later worked for Limestone County Road and Bridge.
Johnny enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved being a father, but there was nothing that compared to the love he had for his grandchildren, they were the light of his life. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing Farkel with his best friend Arturo Olivarez who he considered his brother, and sitting on his porch watching people go by. He also loved his faithful fur baby Bella. It didn’t take much to make Johnny happy, he was a rather quiet man who enjoyed the simple things in life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Ola Mae Northcutt; his wife, Mary Jane (Rockey) Northcutt; brother, Jerry Burke and stepdaughter Mary Ann Brewer.
Johnny is survived by his children, Sabrina Carter and husband, Bubba, Shane Northcutt and wife, Nancy, and Robyn Duke; grandchildren, Bryon Dabney, Chelsea Carter and fiancé, Bradlye, Brindley and Kendall Northcutt, Tori and Dalton Grieger, Weslee and Kenneth Duke, Jonathon Miller, Kenzie and Zoey Hitchcock.
