Joyce was the beloved wife of the late Ray Kennedy and cherished daughter of Edell and Velma Masters. She was also predeceased by her brother, Louie Masters. Her enduring strength and fun-loving spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry Ray Kennedy and wife Sherry of Mexia, Texas, and Louie Jearl Kennedy of Mexia. Joyce was a proud grandmother to three grandsons: Brett Kennedy and wife Traci of Prairie Hill, Texas; Brandon Kennedy and wife Jessica of Groesbeck, Texas; and Cody Kennedy and wife Brittany of Fairfield, Texas.
