Kimberly Ann Medlock was welcomed into her Heavenly home on April 3, 2025, passing away peacefully, surrounded by her family at BSW - Hillcrest in Waco, TX. Kim was a dedicated, faithful, and loving mother, daughter, sister, friend, and employee. She loved fiercely, trusted in God wholeheartedly, and prayed her way through life.
Born January 14, 1965, in Mexia, TX, to Billy C. and Peggy Ann (Spillers) Blanchard, Kim was preceded in death by her father, Billy C. Blanchard; her grandparents, Roy and Mary J. Spillers; and her grandparents, Clyde and Earlene Blanchard.
Kim was all about family time—whether it was sharing a meal or simply enjoying a conversation with a fresh cup of Colombian coffee. She had a passion for the beach and loved soaking in the sun. Holidays, especially at Christmas, brought her great joy, and she loved hosting trick-or-treaters. Kim could often be found planning trips or family outings, heading to the casino, watching Law & Order, music award shows, or the Dallas Cowboys play. Above all, her daughters, Ashley and Tiffany, meant the world to her. However, her greatest joy was her grandchildren, Isaiah and Quinn, and her expected grandson, Xavier Jr.
Kim loved being a mother to her two girls; they were an inseparable trio. Whether on a three-way call or in person, you could find Kim, Ashley, and Tiffany usually together. Later in life, the grandkids, Isaiah and Quinn, were always in tow right behind. Kim thought the absolute world of these babies and was the ultimate grandmother to them. From spoiling them endlessly to never allowing them to get in trouble, Kim was the greatest KK. Kim instilled strength, compassion, a strong work ethic, and major fun into her two girls. She ensured their lives were built on a strong foundation of Christ. This investment in their spiritual life will span generations. She made sure her kids (and grandkids) knew to pray their way through life and go to God. Kim had a very special bond with her mother and sister, as well as her niece and nephew; Trenton and Gracie were always able to bring out her playful side. She loved her aunts, uncles, and cousins deeply and enjoyed gathering with them often.
Kim was a devoted employee, always going beyond the extra mile. Some of her most impactful jobs throughout her life were at Hospice of Mercy, Centex ARC, and The Manor. With The Manor being her most recent position, Kim absolutely loved being around "her people," as she would say. Throughout Kim's life, she always chose a role that would allow her to use her gifts to serve those who were vulnerable or in need. Some would say she used her work as her ministry.
Kim is survived by her mother, Peggy A. Blanchard; her daughters, Ashley (Xavier) Beal and Tiffany Medlock (Stacy Ray); her grandchildren, Isaiah J. Ray, Quinn A. Beal, and expected grandson Xavier Q. Beal Jr.; her sister, Pam (Shayne) McKinley; and her nephew and niece, Trenton and Gracie McKinley.
Pallbearers: Stacy Ray, Xavier Beal Sr., Trenton McKinley, Tavid McKinley (Shayne), Glenn Medlock (Bubba), and Greg Roberts (Frog). Honorary Pallbearers: Isaiah Ray, Glen Carter, Derrian Degnide, and Larry Bell Jr. (Bubba).

For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:7-8
