Linda Brown

Linda Carol Brown, 56, of Waco, entered into her heavenly home on February 20, 2014. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Pinery Cemetery in Palestine, Texas with Pastor Joe Washington, Jr. officiating. Linda was born March 14, 1957 in Houston, Texas to John Thomas Brown, Sr. and Hattie Burks Brown. Due to health reasons, she entered the Mexia State School in 1963. In 2012, she moved into the home of Roslyn and Christopher McKinney, foster parents, in Waco, Texas. Linda was very loving and appreciative of her family and adopted family. She cherished her time spent with her family. She was also crazy about Elvis Presley and thoroughly enjoyed listing to his music. Although Linda will be missed by her family here on earth, they realize her glorious reunion in heaven with her family that has gone before her, God and a new body free of pain is a wonderful blessing. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joe Thomas Brown, Jr. Linda is survived by brother, Archie Thomas Brown; sisters, Johnnie Marie Stanley, Hallie Mae Williams, Rose Ann Washington, Janice Arlene Nunn, Cynthia Ruth and Jo Ann Monroe; foster parents, Roslyn and Christopher McKinney; and a number of nieces and nephews.
