Linda Sue North

Linda Sue North passed away at the age of 65 on August 10, 2026, in Richland Hills, Texas. She was born to Travis Stewart and Betty (Collins) Stewart in Mexia, Texas on August 26, 1960. She was a Mexia High School graduate.

She owned a daycare for several years, then went to work at the Texas Department of Public Safety as an Emission Control Officer from which she retired.

Linda received a degree from the National Academy of Sports Medicine Cooper Institute – Texas Tech University Health Science Center. She thoroughly enjoyed exercising and was a member of the Dallas Running Club. She was also a yoga instructor.

One of her great joys was attending soccer games with her boys and watching them play as well as spending summers in Rockport.

She is survived by her father, Travis Stewart and wife, Cheryl of Mexia; mother, Betty Stewart of Burleson; sons, Chance M. Wyatt of Dallas, Texas; Austin Wyatt of Denver, Colorado; Colin Wyatt and wife Ashlee of Centerton, Arkansas; Stetson North and wife Brittany of Carrollton, Texas; and Spencer North and wife Alondra of Garland, Texas. Grandchildren Andrew Wyatt, Thomas Wyatt, Maverick North, Olivia North and Julissa North; brothers, Lonnie Stewart of Mexia, Texas and Michael Stewart of  Virginia Beach, Virginia, sister, Betty Rusnak of Boyd, Texas.

A family graveside service was held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Grove Cemetery with Brother Clifton Jones officiating.
