Lynn Delane Hartung

Lynn Delane Hartung entered her heavenly home on June 19, 2023, while doing something she truly enjoyed, working in her yard in Coolidge, Texas.  She and her husband, John, chose to retire and make their home in Coolidge, several years ago.

Lynn was born May 26, 1954 in Junction City, Kansas to Robert William and Marlene Ada (Dietrich) Kelley.  Lynn married the love of her life, John Lawrence Hartung, on November 3, 1972 in Springfield, Illinois.  She retired from the State of Kansas Judicial Branch in Junction City, Kansas after 13 years of service.

Lynn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She loved, and served, her Lord and Savior faithfully.  She was, previously, a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Junction City, Kansas.

Lynn also enjoyed being outdoors, working in the yard, camping, fishing, gardening, and she was an animal lover.  After moving to Coolidge, she became very involved in helping with community events.  She had a very outgoing personality, always friendly, and treated everyone with respect.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marlene Kelley; three maternal aunts and uncles; and one paternal aunt and uncle.

Lynn is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John Hartung, Jr. of Coolidge; son, Richard Hartung and wife, Heather of TX; daughter, Janis Olds and husband, Thomas of Shawnee, KS; grandchildren, Jordan Quaintance and husband, Sean of Monckscorner, SC; Holden Hartung and wife, Kaitlyn of Dayton, TN; Lauren Metzler and husband, Brent of Waxahachie, TX, Matthew Smith of KS, Kaitlynn Tolly, and Kayla Tolly; great grandchildren, Isla, Eve, and Nolyn; sister, Carol Halbert, and brother, Robert Kelley, Jr.

Two Memorial Services will be held for Mrs. Hartung.  Friday, July 21, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Park in Coolidge, Texas; and Friday, August 4, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church (630 Eisenhower Dr.) in Junction City, Kansas.
