Margie Walker

Margie Dell Walker, 87, was called to her heavenly home on February 3, 2018, this would have been the 54th birthday of her youngest son, Neil, who passed away April 6, 1980. She passed away at her home in Donie surrounded by her devoted and loving family. Graveside services will be 2 PM, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Wilson Chapel Cemetery, near Donie, with Bro. Allan VanHooser and Dr. Steven Diaz officiating. Mark Compton, Kelly Satterwhite, Gilbert Garcia, Martin Guerrero, Louis Guerrero and Roger Hall will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 PM, Sunday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia. Margie was born August 17, 1930, at home, near Donie, Texas to Jesse and Effie Lee Biggs Miller. She married the love of her life, Glen Walker, on October 25, 1949 and they were blessed with four children, Joe, Lee, Darinda and Neil. The most important and only job she had, and wanted, was taking care of her husband and raising their children; she was a stay at home Mom. Margie's life was all about family, they were her happiness and her world. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Glen Walker; and son, Norman Neil Walker. Margie is survived by her loving children, Joe Glen Walker and wife Kay of Teague, Lee Wayne Walker and wife Jacqueline of Donie and Darinda Howard and husband James of Donie; grandchildren, Clint Walker, Robin Walker, Jessica Howard, Lee Neil Walker and wife Julie, Julie Shiflett and husband Michael, April and Warren Hedrick and Aaron and Staci Griffith; three special God children, Rockcey McLean, Casey Garrett and Haley Garrett; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Lane and Addie Walker, Gracie Wilson, Ellee Shiflett, Ryan Shiflett, Kendall Griffith, Kassidy Griffith and Reid Krenek; and numerous nieces and nephews.
