Martha "Liz" Jones

Martha Jones, 81, passed away on November 21, 2023, in Spring, TX.

Martha Jones was born on November 11, 1942 in Yazoo City, MS, to Claude Myers and Jimmie Lee Myers.

Martha graduated from Marshall High School in 1960. She started her career in Oil and Gas and went on to work in education for many years, until retirement

Martha married John Jones in 1963 in Marshall, Texas. The couple had 2 children, Mitch Jones and Todd Jones.

Martha was best known for her love of her family, being Honey, Shiloh Baptist church, painting, watching the Aldine Mustangs and Dallas Cowboys Football and Dr. Pepper. She also enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and being her husbands ranch hand/cowboy.

Martha is survived by Mitch Jones - son, Todd Jones - son, Jean Weathers - sister, Davida Jones - daughter-in-law, Victoria Winstead - granddaughter, Nickolas Jones - grandson, Landry Jones - grandson, Madison Winstead - great-granddaughter, Zepplin Jones - great-grandson, Zadie Winstead - great-granddaughter, Lyric Jones - great-granddaughter, Ruxtin Winstead - great-grandson, Mateo Jones - great-grandson, Jana Gonzales - niece, Angie Herrera - niece, Kim Wooldridge - niece, Heather Wooldridge - niece and many more great-nephews, and friends.

Martha is preceded in death by Claude Myers - father, Jimmie Lee Myers - mother, John Jones - spouse, Luke Jones - grandson, Elaine Wooldridge - sister, Kristin Wooldridge - niece

Funeral services  will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Blair Stubbs Funeral Home with Mr. Heath Smith officiating. A visitation with the family will be a hour prior to the service. Internment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.
