Mary Anna Schuster Minchew was received into heaven on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Justin Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow in the Point Enterprise Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. Mary Anna was born in Mexia, Texas on October 1, 1930 to Michael and Anna Schaffer Schuster. On January 2, 1954, she married the love of her life and lifelong partner, John Minchew. Mary Anna cherished her family and spent her life caring for her husband and the six children with which they were blessed. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and served on the Lady's Altar Guild Committee. She was also a member of the local VFW Post 4694's Ladies Auxiliary. Mary Anna enjoyed traveling, yard sales and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Anna Schuster; husband of 51 years, John; and daughter, Suzanne Thornton. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Gwen and Lupe Navarro, Elaine and Terry Ezell, Raymond Minchew and Deanna Hill, Margaret and Paul Garvin and Steven and Theresa Minchew; grandchildren, Stefan and Ariel Minchew, Ethan and Michelle Minchew, Alex and Amy Ezell, Sherry Hagar, Candice Dempsey and Phoebe Ezell; great-grandchildren, Avery Minchew, Wyatt Ezell and another due in March 2016; siblings, Edmund and Roxanna Schuster, Joe and Sylvia Schuster and Helen Matthews; her in-laws, Aubrey and Joyce Minchew, Mary Alice Teer, Ann Smith, Katheryn Minchew, Nelda Minchew and Gloria Minchew. Pallbearers will be Anthony Schuster, Michael Dale Schuster, Mike Matthews, Stefan Minchew, Ethan Minchew and Alex Ezell. Son-in-laws will serve as honorary pallbearers.
