Raymond Pevehouse

Raymond Loyd Pevehouse, of Mexia, passed away December 3, 2020 at the age of 85.  Raymond was born February 19, 1935 in Personville, Texas to James William and Lillie Reynolds Pevehouse.  He worked most of his life as a ranch hand, something he really enjoyed.

Raymond never met a stranger, he enjoyed being around people, and made friends easily.  He was born and raised in the country and never outgrew his love for it.  He enjoyed playing dominoes, fishing, and in his younger years, did a lot of coon hunting.  He loved spending time with his family, especially, his nieces and nephews.  He was a longtime active member of the Prairie Grove Baptist Church.  Raymond enjoyed going to church activities and spending time with his church family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Pevehouse; four brothers; two sisters; and four half-brothers.

He is survived by his sister, Clarice Fargo and husband, Dale of Mexia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30, Saturday, December 5, 2020 in the LaSalle Cemetery with Rev. Clifton Jones officiating.
