Rhonda Lynne Yawn

Rhonda Lynne Yawn passed away August 31, 2022 at the age of 56.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home with Pastor John Carabin officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lost Prairie Cemetery.  Eddie Tally, Crawford Wallace, Brandon Brown, Jacob Webster, Zyon Leonard, and Dustin Ferguson will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.

Rhonda was born March 3, 1966 in Wortham, Texas to Robert Lyndon and Donna Marie (Vest) Allen.  She devoted her life to being a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  In her eyes, it was the best job ever.

Rhonda was a loving, caring person with a special heart.  She loved not only the Lord, her family, and friends, but so many others that came into her life.  Her family was the light in her life, and she in theirs.  Rhonda’s home was always open to any and everyone.  She was known to so many as mom, or grandma, roles she happily accepted without any hesitation as she showed nothing but love for each and everyone. She was, also, a member of the Living Proof Church in Groesbeck.

For those she left behind, their world is dimmer without her, but they are thankful she is now well, happy, and a shining light in heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Donna Allen; and son, Andrew Shockley.

She is survived by her husband, Carlton "Buzz" Douglas Yawn; children, Elizabeth Shockley of Jewett, Timothy and Tammy Shockley of Buna, TX, Corinna Yawn of Nacogdoches, Nicole St. John and Dakota St. John of Bishop TX, and Danielle Shockley; grandchildren, Hailey, Ryan, Sarah, Brody, Kylar, Greyson, Landon, Mia, Harvey, Tanner, Kenna, Scarlet, Eden;  great grandchildren, Cassidy, Lavae, Ledger, and Atticus; sister, Brenda McDaniel and husband, Charles of Groesbeck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
