Richard Darrell Johnson, Sr.

Richard Darrell Johnson, Sr. passed away on January 1, 2023 in Mexia, Texas.  He was born October 5, 1957 in Irving, Texas to J. D. and Charlotte (Brooks) Johnson.  Prior to retirement, he was a correctional officer for TDCJ for 20 years.

Richard is survived by his wife, Vicki Johnson; children, Aubrey Brasher, Richard D. Johnson, Jr., and Charles Alexander Johnson; grandchildren, Caitlyn Marie Paige Johnson, Yzzabella Mae Austria Brasher, and Jatavious Eli Dayden Johnson; brothers, John and Bill Johnson; and sister, Debbie Duncan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. D. and Charlotte Johnson; and sister, Cathy Johnson.
