Ricky Allen Haston of Thornton, Tx was welcomed into his heavenly home at the age of 59 on Thursday October 2nd, 2025. Ricky was a beloved brother, father, grandfather “pap” and friend whose kindness and laughter touched everyone he met.

Ricky was born on December 1st, 1965, in Corpus Christi, Texas to parents Lester and Mary (English) Haston. His childhood home was in Wortham, Tx where he attended school at Wortham ISD. He was a true jack of all trades whose passion was leather work and silversmithing. Ricky had a gift for working with his hands, creating pieces that reflected both his creativity and dedication. Whether he was crafting something new, helping a friend with a project, or sharing stories around the table, he poured his heart into everything he did.

He leaves behind his children who were his pride and joy of his life, April Morgan and husband Josh, Tomi Giese and husband Erik, Brett Haston and wife Jordan, Wyatt Haston and wife Tori. His grandchildren Calob, Jaxsyn, Eliza, Gunner, Morgan, Elliott and Brandt. His parents Lester and Mary Haston, Brother Gary Haston and wife Christy, his Alfaro family that were dear friends, brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends who became family that will forever cherish his memory.

He was welcomed home by his grandpa and grandma Frank and Nora English of Rockport, Tx, his grandpa and grandma Lester and Jewel Haston II of Rockport, Tx, his great grandmother Emmily “Nano” B. Landrum of Wortham, Tx, Father-in-law Guadalupe “grandPa” Alfaro of Big Hill, Tx.

Ricky’s family welcomes all who loved him to join them for a viewing that will be held on Monday October 6th, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Blair-Stubbs Funeral home, 605 S McKinney St, Mexia, Tx 76667

A celebration of Ricky’s life will be held at a later date. Where family and friends will gather to honor his memory. His warmth, creative spirit, and laughter will be deeply missed but forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7-8)
