Funeral services for Mrs. Robbie Sue Strickland Hodge, 64 of Mexia will be 3 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2005 in Blair - Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Steve Henderson will officiate with interment to follow in Forest Glade Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at their residence at 203 Cedar Crest in Mexia throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday morning before the service. They will receive visitors at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday night. Mrs. Hodge was born on June 18, 1941 in Hampton, AR and passed away on Dec- ember 1, 2005 in the local hospital. She worked as a machine operator for Lockheed Martin Corp. and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Hampton, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents: William Homer and Bessie Melinda Bowen Strickland; two brothers, Jimmy Rex Strickland and Raymond Strickland and a son, Bobby Dale Smalley. She is survived by a daughter: Debbie L. Ivy of Mexia; two sons: James Smalley of Canton and Alfred D. (Scooter) Smalley of Mexia, 6 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 1 great grandson, and 1 great granddaughter, many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
