Ronald Dene Dockery, Jr.

Ronald Dene Dockery Jr. passed away on February 20, 2024, at his home in Mexia.  The graveside service will be at Lost Prairie Cemetery, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10 am. Kenneth Dockery and John Pearson will be officiating the service. Directly following the service, the family will be gathering at his home to celebrate his life with a meal.

Ronald Dene was born June 13, 1969, in Waco, Texas to Ronald Dene Dockery Sr and Linda Sandifer Dockery. He took care of his mother until her death and that was a true testament to his loving character. He was compassionate and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was charismatic and had an uncanny ability to turn negative situations around for the better. 

He enjoyed spending time with his loyal dog, Cricket. Using his mother’s recipes, he discovered a love for baking. Yard sales, gossiping, and laughing were a few of his favorite hobbies to do with his aunts. Ronald Dene will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Dene Sr and Linda Dockery; brother, Gary Allen Dockery; grandparents, many aunts, and uncles. 

Ronald Dene is survived by his partner of 9 years, Leo Martinez; his dog Cricket; a large extended family and friends.
