Roberto Cerna

Roberto Fernando Cerna passed away August 17, 2017 in Mexia. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home with Mr. Robert Kersten officiating. A family graveside service will be 10 AM, Monday, August 21, 2017 in the Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 4-5:30 PM, Saturday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Robert was born November 27, 1919 in Monterrey, Mexico. Robert was married to his loving wife, Elia, for 72 years and they were blessed with a precious daughter, Belinda. His family was the light of his life. He and Elia's world revolved around any and everything that pertained to Belinda. Robert enjoyed a long career as an Engineer, working primarily for numerous cotton gins. After retiring, he and Elia moved to Waco and then to Mexia, to be closer to Belinda. He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling. Robert was a faithful Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Elia Cerna; four brothers; and one sister. Robert is survived by his preciously adored daughter, Belinda Cerna.
