Ronald Dempsey

Ronald E. (Ronnie) Dempsey, went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2015. He was born September 20, 1956 in Mexia. He was the second child born to Elmer Eugene and Katherine Elizabeth Shinault Dempsey of Mexia. Ronnie attended Mexia High School and had a bachelor's degree in nursing. He served four years in the United States Navy. His hobbies included listening to Buddy Guy, detailing his car and playing call of duty on his PS3. He also enjoyed taking long drives. Ronnie was a kind, gentle, loving man, and his smile and laughter would brighten your day. He will be sorely missed by his family and all who know him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Elizabeth Shinault Dempsey. Survivors include his father, Elmer Eugene Dempsey of Mexia, his wife, Candice M. Dempsey, of Mexia, who will cherish many wonderful memories, two children from his first marriage, Jennifer Dempsey and Christopher Dempsey of South Texas, brother, Michael Montgomery of Bellmead. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Sharon and Larry Jennings of Mexia, sister-in-law, Maranda Windland of Mexia, brother-in-law, Dylan Jennings of Mexia and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends who loved him dearly. Memorial services will be 3 PM Sunday (March 8, 2015), at the VFW in Mexia.
