Ronny Duke
Ronny Floyd Duke, of Garland, passed away January 19, 2020 at the VA Hospital in Dallas, Texas at the age of 84. There will be a visitation with the family from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.
Ronny was born September 16, 1935 in Mexia, Texas to Floyd Duke of Mexia and Jane Duke of Odessa. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force for nine years; the love and patriotism for his country remained true throughout his life. He was a retired employee of Texas Instruments.
Ronny's family was the light of his life, he loved nothing more than spending time with them. He was also very creative and could build or fix most anything. He enjoyed being outdoors, as much as possible, taking in all that nature had to offer. Ronny was an active member of the Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland.
He was preceded in death by parents; and his loving wife of 63 years, Huberta Duke.
Ronny is survived by his; children, daughter, Debrah Harman and husband, Jim of Dallas, their daughter, Jenni and husband, Curtis and children, William, Daniel, Andrew, Henry and Jacob Madeley of Odenton, MD, son, John of Austin and daughter, Amy of Charleston, SC; daughter, Dinah Robnett and husband, Edward of Tulsa, OK, their son, Nathan and wife, Nicki and children, Ace and Oakley of Grand Cayman Islands, daughter, Rebecca of Tulsa, OK, son, Matthew of Tulsa, OK and son, John Russell and wife, Summer of Ft. Worth; son, David Duke and wife, Tinker and family of Mexia; son, Rodney Duke and wife, Angelle of Spring their son, Austin and daughters, Lauren and Ashley of Spring; son, Ronall Duke of Garland and his daughter, Madison and son, Joshua; brother, George Davies; and sister, Patricia Duke Pullam.
