Rose Mary Osborne

On August 19, 2026, Rose Mary Osborne went to be with her Lord and Savior, where she was also reunited with her husband and many other relatives. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2026, in the Coolidge United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Hensley officiating along with Ms. Angie Allcorn speaking. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Coolidge Cemetery. Matt Webb, Tommy Osborne, Paul Fannin, Adam Sanchez, Dalton Allcorn, and Heath Allcorn will serve as pallbearers.

Rose Mary was born December 27, 1932 in Mt. Calm, Texas to Homer and Ethel (Martin) Stevens. Rose Mary married her lifelong partner, Charles Henry “Soap” Osborne, on April 24, 1960 in the Coolidge United Methodist Church. They were blessed with 55 wonderful years together at the time of his death in 2015. She retired from the Mexia State School after 20+ years of service as the Director of Volunteer Services.

Rose Mary as a devoted Christian who loved working for the Lord; she was a longtime active member of the Coolidge United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved nothing more than spending time with family. Rose Mary had an outgoing personality, greeted everyone with a smile, and believed in treating everyone the way she wanted to be treated. She also had a soft spot in her heart for stray dogs and cats.

Rose Mary loved traveling with her husband; they traveled all over the world. In her quiet time, she enjoyed quilting and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles H. “Soap” Osborne; brother and sister-in-law, Bennie D. Stevens and wife, Betty; and son-in-law, David W. Webb.

Rose Mary is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Osborne and husband, John O’Neal and Melinda Osborne Webb; granddaughter, Kimberly and husband, John Nugent; great grandchildren, Kathryn Nugent and Sean Nugent; and numerous friends.

Memorials may be made to an animal shelter of choice.
