Samuel Thomas "Tom" Bozeman, Jr., of Coolidge, passed away April 13, 2018 in Mexia at the age of 81. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the VFW Post 4694 in Mexia. Tom was born November 2, 1936 in Crane, Texas to Samuel Thomas Bozeman, Sr. and Christine Jones Bozeman. He was truck driver most of his life. He drove all over the U.S. and Canada. Tom married his loving wife, Peggy Flowers, on December 31, 1986 in Coolidge, Texas. He loved his family and spending time with them. He, especially, loved to grill hamburgers for their family gatherings. Tom enjoyed visiting with everyone, he never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. One of his favorite pastimes was going to the VFW and sitting at, what they called, "The Table of Knowledge" and talking about the events of the day. He even had the opportunity to be in a movie called "Dawn". It was filmed by Jay Reel and Tom played the sheriff. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dick Bozeman; and granddaughter, Brandi Brashier. Tom is survived by his wife of 31 years, Peggy Bozeman of Coolidge; children, Marty Dockins of Daylon, Christine Kilgore of Coolidge, Elaine Roberts of Boerne and Richard Bozeman of Lake Mexia; step-children, Diana Smith of Wortham, Sandra Park of Temple, Patricia Wilcox of Caney City and Kenneh Kilgore of Coolidge; four grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; and sister, Harriett Harold of Grand Prairie.
