Sarabeth Matthews, 35, of Wortham, passed away November 13, 2015 in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Wortham with Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in the Wortham Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Sarabeth was born July 23, 1980 in Corsicana, Texas to Randy and Bettina Stubbs Jarrell. She was a lifelong resident of Wortham. After graduating from Wortham High School, she attended Texas A & M Commerce in Corsicana where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. Sarabeth began her teaching career at Mexia Jr. High, where she taught and coached for several years. She was presently teaching the first grade in Wortham. Teaching was not just a job to Sarabeth, she loved her students and was interested in providing them the best education possible. Sarabeth was a loving daughter and mother who cherished her family. Her life revolved around her children and everything in which they were involved, whether it be sporting events or any other activity, she was there. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wortham. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mattie Stubbs; and paternal grandfather, M.L. Jarrell, Jr. Sarabeth is survived by her children, Cade Matthews and Sophie Yeldell of Wortham; parents, Randy and Bettina Jarrell of Wortham; brother, John "J.J." Jarrell and wife, Alexis of Wortham; sister, Juliann Allen and husband, Drew of Nashville, TN; nephews, Luke and Eli Allen and niece, Ansley Allen; maternal grandfather, John Stubbs of Wortham; paternal grandmother, Sharon Crow and husband, Bill of Wortham; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
