Sherri Renee Brouillette

Sherri Renee Masters Brouillette passed away on March 18, 2026, at her parents’ home in Thornton, Texas, surrounded by her family and friends, after a courageous year-and-a-half battle with cancer. She was 53 years old.

Sherri was born on September 23, 1972, in Mexia, Texas, to Mason and Debra Masters of Thornton, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Thornton, except for a brief two-year period in her early thirties when she “lost her mind” and moved to Grapevine. That adventure didn’t last long, as she quickly returned home to her best friend and mother, whom she couldn’t bear to be away from for even a full day.

She graduated from Groesbeck High School in 1991 and later earned her degree from Texas State Technical College as a dental assistant. Throughout her life, Sherri worked as a dental assistant, dialysis technician, tax preparer, and nursing aide. No matter the job, her work always centered around caring for others—just as her life outside of work did.

In 2020, Sherri married the love of her life, Tony Brouillette, in the beautiful mountain setting of Estes Park, Colorado. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and companionship in Thornton. Their marriage was made complete when they adopted Jonathan, a moment that gave even deeper meaning and fulfillment to their lives together. Sherri and Tony shared a love of travel and treasured their time spent together, returning often to Colorado, fishing along the coast, and enjoying cruises where they could relax, explore, and simply be together.

Family was Sherri’s greatest joy. Her most cherished time was spent surrounded by loved ones, especially while absolutely spoiling her grandchildren. She was an avid crafter and thrifter, with talents that seemed limitless. Sherri was a gifted florist, wood crafter, and wreath maker, and with her Cricut and sublimation printer, there truly was nothing she couldn’t make.

Her smile was radiant and infectious, especially when she was up to no good, pranking family members or giving them a hard time. Her laugh could fill any room, and the world will be much quieter and duller without it.

Sherri was preceded in death by her grandparents, Shorty and Melita Robison, Fred and Betty Masters, and her nephew, Remington Masters.

She is survived by her parents, Mason and Debra Masters; her husband, Tony Brouillette; her children, Amanda Savage, Kristopher Masters, Randal Masters, and Jonathan Brouillette; her stepchildren, Ty Brouillette and Kayla Johnson; and her grandchildren, Monty and Westen Masters, Mason “Macie” Savage, Randal James Masters, Preston Jefferies, Jaxson and Kalleigh Johnson, and Keelie, Paisley, and Parker Brouillette, her brother Mason Keith Masters and nephew Mason McKenzie Masters and niece Raylee Masters. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many “inherited” children who always knew her refrigerator was well stocked and that there would be a warm place to sleep whenever they needed it.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Blair‑Stubbs Funeral Home in Thornton, Texas.
