Sherry was born February 12, 1950 in Mexia, Texas to James Hoyt “Dick” Neese, Jr. and Dolly Faye (Moore) Neese. She graduated from Mexia High School, Class of 1968 where she was a twirler in the Mexia Blackcat Band, in addition to other activities. Continuing her education, Sherry graduated from Kilgore College, where she performed with the Rangerettes, and went on to graduate from Texas Tech University with her Bachelor’s degree in education.

There wasn’t anything she enjoyed more in life than spending time with her kids and grandkids; her family was her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Dolly Neese; brother, James “Hoyt” Neese, III; and nephew, James Hoyt “Jamie” Neese, IV.
Sherry is survived by her sons, Dustin Manning and wife, Brandy, Brandon Manning and wife, Kelly; grandkids, Julianne Manning, Alyssa Manning, Carter Manning, and Grady Manning; and nieces Cindy Neese Vincent and Kari Neese Adams.
