Travis Forrester

Funeral services for Travis Lee Forrester, 77 of Mexia will be 10 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2006 in Blair - Stubbs Chapel, Mexia. Rev. Marcus Sheffield will officiate with interment to follow in the Mexia Cemetery with military service. Visitation with the family will be 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Forrester was born on November 19, 1928 in Frost, Texas to Arthur and Dovie (Smithey) Forrester and passed away on July 19, 2006 at his residence. He served in the U. S. Army from November 27, 1948 until September 2, 1949. He was a retired Mexia State School employee and a member of the First Baptist Church in Mexia. Survivors are his wife, Madie Forrester, daughter, Kathryn Forrester Pittman, son in law, Dr. Wesley E. Pittman all of Mexia, and a grandson, Wesley Duke Pittman of Nacogdoches. Pallbearers will be Dr. Wesley Pittman, Wesley Duke Pittman, Keith Price, Louis Garner, Bobby Richardson and Dean Blasingame. Honorary pallbearers will be Edgar Moore, Joe Caylor, Roy Blasingame, Newman Shorter, Dink Dunn and Milton Phillips.
