Wanda Nell Thornton

Wanda Nell Thornton, 88, passed away on January 27, 2026 at her home in Mexia, surrounded by her loving family.  Visitation with the family will be from 1-2:30 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2026 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Old Bethel Cemetery.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Cleburn and Maydell (Williams) Prichard; and husband, Joe Davis Thornton.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Thornton, Donna Steely, and Kelly Thornton; several grandchildren; and many other relatives.
