Zarine McDonald Strain born February 28, 1932 passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of April 20, 2026. She was 94 years old.

She was born in Marquee, Tx, the daughter of Clyde and Novell Talley. She was a force of nature, a source of endless laughter and a heart that was full of love for her family and many numerous friends and loved ones. She never met a stranger and made everyone feel like family.

Zarine worked and retired from Kimberly-Clark Corporation afters years of hard work and dedication. She was a natural when it came to making people laugh. She always had a funny joke to share with family, friends, and even a perfect stranger if the conversation was right. She loved making people laugh. She also loved to dance. No matter where she was if the music was good she was going to start moving her feet.

She is proceeded in death by her son Billy Gene McDonald, Jr.; her parents Clyde and Novell Talley; and sister and brother in law Diane and Jack Richardson. She also leaves to cherish her memories; a daughter Theresa Kay McDonald Herin and husband Scotty; a son Terry Lynn McDonald and wife Pat; along with 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday April 25, 2026 at Blair-Stubbs funeral home in Mexia. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5-7.
