Lynda Brim

Lynda Joyce Brim passed away April 13, 2020 in Mexia at the age of 69.  Lynda was born May 28, 1950 in Jacksonville, Texas to Robert Kilgore and Ruth McCain Kilgore Hale.  She graduated from Mexia High School, Class of 1968.  In June 1968, she married Gary Brim at the Temple Baptist Church in Mexia.

Lynda was the proud mother of two sons and an even prouder grandmother of three granddaughters as well as a great grandson.  She loved her family and cherished her time with them.  Like most grandmothers, she thought her granddaughters and great grandson were the greatest.  She also loved her extended family, her pets.  When time allowed, Lynda enjoyed shopping, arts and crafts, painting, crocheting and knitting.

She retired from the McLennan County Tax Office after 25 years of service.

Lynda was very outgoing, enjoyed visiting with new and old friends and always greeted everyone with a smile.  She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Kilgore; mother, Ruth Hale; her husband of 47 years, Gary Brim; son, Robbie Brim; and brother, Bobby Kilgore.

Lynda is survived by her loving son, Jared Brim and wife, Tammy Hite-Brim of Mexia; granddaughters, Bree and Gabby Brim of Abbott and Brooke Touchet and her son, Gabirel "Nugget" of Fort Worth; sisters, Helen Amick and husband, Johnny of Mexia and Ruthie Bancroft and husband, Billy of Glenwood, AR; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Julia and George McGrew of Lockhart, TX, Lynn and Beverly Brim of Mexia, Leslie and Billy Lingo of Bastrop, Gaylon Brim of Mexia and Harry and Carol Brim of Hubbard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
